Unfortunately, there wasn't much ice left in the cavern, but it was still
worth the trip. And both Luna and Boots had a blast.

These were taken within the first week or two of Luna coming to live with us. Maybe even that first weekend. Back when Boots was old, but still spry. She had just as much fun as the dog a fraction of her age. Sure miss that old girl.
The falls weren't nearly as frozen as we had hoped they would be, but the view was still amazing. Ella looked extra fluffy that day, and the wet snow really brought out the red in her coat. Charlie had a blast, he was ready to go, go, go as soon as we hit the trail.
Luna on the other hand was ready to head back pretty early on, she clearly preferred the summer visit. Last March we had an unusual spring snow. This was shortly after Ella came into our home and she and Luna had a blast in the icy cold. Ella wasn't quite sure what to think of the snow when we first went out back. Then Luna tackled her... and full craziness broke out. Hands down, this is my favorite picture of Luna I have ever taken. I love the look in her eyes and the contrast of the leaves behind her black and white coat.
