Drentsche Patrijshond
Dutch Partridge Dog

The Drentsche Patrijshond is an all-around gundog that was originally bred to work with partridge, grouse, and quail. They are capable of tracking, setting, pointing and retrieving from both land and water. As a secondary task they have also been used as watchdogs. Today, when still used in the field they are more commonly used on small animals such as rabbit and hare.
