History of the Small Münsterländer
The Small Münsterländer was developed from older German hunting dogs and is likely related to the Deutscher Wachtelhund. Since the dogs that were used to create the breed were from the Münster region it is likely there is also shared blood with its larger ‘cousin’, the Large Münsterländer. However, they are not a miniaturization from the breed as their name suggests.
